My Podcast Structure

This is my structure for the podcast episode, "Turn That Frown to Whatever You Want." The first diagonal line represents the story used to introduce the topic; it builds up to the whole point of the podcast. The exclamation marks represent moments of realization. The horizontal lines in between the exclamation marks represent moments of explanation or elaboration. As the podcast develops, these horizontal lines get bigger, building on the information that was explained earlier in the podcast. The parallel horizontal lines at the very end represent the conclusion/solution in the podcast based on all the information revealed in the horizontal line sections.

This podcast structure has similarities to that of Freakonomics because Freakonomics also begins with a personal connection, whether it is a story or a description of a current situation, that is related to the topic being discussed. There is a realization, or idea, and then it is followed with information i.e. research, interviews that progress the podcast. At the end, there is a conclusion, or a suggested conclusion based on the information that was provided.
